“Vaivén '09” aims to coordinate actions to analyze and value the migration and the development, diversity and Human Rights, to stimulate dialogue and South-South and South-North multilateral cooperation, promoting development, diversity and the transformation of individuals and groups at countries of origin, transit and destination, and place value on the artistic and cultural wealth that paints of colors, sounds and tastes to the great melting of the collective imagination.

In "Vaivén '09", the academic and intellectual activities will be reinforced by cultural and artistic expression and communication activities that seek to show facing to the community the meaning and status of migrants and their contribution to the building of the towns.

Thematic areas:

The invitation goes to individuals and organizations involved and engaged in researches, programs, projects or actions that contribute to the central themes of the Meeting from the following areas: Academy, Youth and Culture, Gender, Cooperation and Development, Ecumenical Activities, Social and Solidarity Economy.

How to participate:

There are three (3) ways to participate:
1. As a participant, and assistant to the core program activities.
2. As a lecturer and panelist at one of the thematic panel, and participant in the activities of the core program.
3. As an exhibitor of books or documents relating to the themes of the meeting, and participant in the activities of the core program.

In either case, interest should be sent to vaiven09@entresolesylunas.com including the following info:
-Name. -City, country, address and telephone.
-Profession. -Organization or institution to which you belong.
-Charge. -Thematic area of interest.


On September 30th is the deadline for expressing interest in participating as a lecturer and panelist. On October 16th, the results will be announced. On November 6th is the deadline for submission of papers for publication.
